Executive / Senior Executive, Advocacy & Strategic Communications

Permanent, Full Time / Executive or Senior Executive / 2 years exp

 

The incumbent will be responsible to co-plan, develop and implement stakeholder events like fundraisers, appreciation ceremonies and social recreational events on a strategic communications scale. Part of the role will involve support media management as well as formulating and delivering compelling content for various stakeholders for purposes such as awareness building, brand building and public education.

 

Advocacy and Outreach:

  • Co-plan, organise, and execute outreach and public education events to various stakeholders (e.g. World Stroke Day event) with management
  • Increase awareness of stroke recovery, prevention, and care though strategic planning and implementation
  • Facilitate visits to S3 wellness centres, delivering presentations to new visitors and partners
  • Organise community events, forums, and activities to promote awareness of S3's services and cause
  • Conduct public education talks to raise awareness on stroke prevention and recovery
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to organise and deliver impactful educational sessions
  • Develop engaging content for presentations aligned with the organisation's messaging
  • Evaluate the effectiveness fo education talks through feedback and data analysis
  • Support the organisation in reaching out to and implementing community programmes with schools, agencies, corporate and community stakeholders

 

Fundraising and Networking:

  • Plan, lead, implement, and manage fundraising events/activities and community outreach projects (e.g. Gala)
  • Market events to the public and organisations to garner support for projects
  • Engage in networking events to expand the network and collaborate with stakeholders

 

Media and Communications:

  • Co-drive media and communications messages with communications team
  • Actively participate in media relations and press release activities related to fundraising and community outreach

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Corporate Communications, Events Management or Public Relations or related qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working or internship experience preferably from a VWO, non-profit organisation or healthcare sector
  • Must have project management and/or events management experience
  • Ability to communicatae and present confidently
  • Has strong writing, proofreading, layout, and design skills
  • Able to multitask, has excellent organisational, planning, project, and time management skills
  • Have good knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
